We Belong to Him
For those who know Jesus as Lord and Savior, there will be a crown of glory for the redeemed on the day of judgment, which will never fade away. The Apostle Peter says 1st. Peter
5 vs. 4; “and when the chief Shepherd (meaning Jesus) appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.” It is super wonderful to be a child of God! There is
peace and joy knowing the meaning of John 16 vs. 33. Jesus says, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Paul said to the brethren;
Romans chapter 8 vs. 14; “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” Think about the magnitude of vs. 16 and 17, which says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are
the children of God, and if children, then heirs—-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may be glorified together.” Do not outsource your ability to think and reason to people who
may not have a belief in God. There must be a willingness to be guided by the Scriptures. Adopt the attitude of the Bereans. Act chapter 17 vs. 11 says, “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in
that they searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were true.” Jesus says in Revelations 22 vs 7, “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Think about what this world would be like if everyone embraced the meaning of the words in Romans chapter 12 vs 17 and 18, which says, “Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all
men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Look at the world today, where so much anger is on display, much more than the good taking place. Mankind has been hardheaded all
the way back to the days of Adam and Eve. Philippians 3 vss. 17 and 18 the Apostle Paul said to (church folk) “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For
many walk whom I have told you often, and now tell you weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ.” Jesus says in John 14 vs. 6; “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
